Bond Compare is a new tool available on the FitchResearch website allowing you to compare Structured Finance bond performance data. Available for the ABS (Auto Loans, Credit Cards, Equipment Leasing, and Student Loans only), CDO, CMBS, and RMBS market sectors, Bond Compare can be customized to generate reports containing the data most relevant to your needs.
How does Bond Compare work?
Bond Compare is designed as a three-step process:
- The first step allows you to search (by text, CUSIP, or ISIN) our extensive list of bonds, within the asset types in your subscription, and select up to ten for comparison.
- Several options are provided in the second step to choose the information displayed for your selected bonds. Quick Compare offers a set of pre-defined and commonly-used data fields, allowing for quick and easy results. If you prefer a more customized data set, you can instead create your own unique list of comparison fields, which can also be saved for future use.
- Once you have selected your bonds and data fields and generated the report, it can be viewed online or be exported into an Excel spreadsheet.
To help make Bond Compare easier to use, a switch panel on the right side of the screen displays a view of your selections, updating through each step of the process. This provides a simple way to add to, edit, or delete any of your choices, and can be modified up until your final report is created.
How to get to Bond Compare
While browsing through the ABS, CDO, CMBS, and RMBS sector or Surveillance pages, access Bond Compare via the link on the left-side menu under "Tools".
